This can be used for enhanced access to information—since the digital twin can be accessed remotely and instantly—and it can also be used for enhanced predictive maintenance. Simulations can be run on the digital twin to anticipate the way a physical asset might respond, for example.

The digital twin can also be leveraged for smarter risk-based inspection (RBI) and risk assessment. Assets can be color-coded in 3D to represent their color in the risk matrix, then overlaid onto the digital twin so you can visualize, in real time, the risk associated with any or all assets in a facility—helping you manage risk and focus maintenance dollars where they create the most value.

Integration

With integration between data sources, a single version of the truth can be achieved – and with digital twins, that version of the truth can be remotely accessed with one click of a button.
